How To Setup / Install Windows 7 Themes
This will be a guide how to install Windows 7 themes properly. You can install themepacks created on Windows 7 by double-clicking on it, but for 3rd party themes you can Check my more recent and better topic than this

but if you decided to continue to read this tutorial so first step you will have to patch your uxtheme.dll and some other dll files
Before installing 3rd-party themes: Create a backup
Microsoft does not allow you to use themes that modify the shell of Windows 7 or other parts like the Start orb or the taskbar. In order to install those themes you will have to patch your uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll and themeservice.dll, which can be found “C:Windowssystem32”.
Before you try to install any themes please make a backup of those files!! I won’t repeat this and you are doing any changes at your own risk, I don’t take any responsibility
HOW TO REPLACE EXPLORER.EXE :

Method 1 :

Take ownership of explorer.exe and give yourself full permissions to it. (Right click on it > Properties > Security Tab > Advanced > Owner Tab > Edit > Click on Administrators > OK > OK > OK > OK > YES then Right Click on the file again, Properties > Security Tab, click on EDIT > click on Administrators, Full Control: Allow > OK > OK)
Rename explorer.exe by explorerBackup.exe (in order to have a backup of the original if you encounter problems
Then paste the explorer.exe modified
Restart Windows and enjoy
NOTE : to win time you can kill the process explorer.exe in task manager and start it again ^^)
Method 2 :

add a “take ownership” shortcut to your right-click
1. Just download and open the zip file below, and right click on the extracted .reg file and click on merge.
2. Right click on whatever you want to own and and select take ownership, it works and I have used it heaps.
